Terms & Conditions

The site is an attractive one situated amongst the beautiful countryside of the Cartmel Valley. Bearing in mind the unspoilt nature of the site and the tranquillity of the area, it would be appreciated if visitors would make every effort to preserve this.  The following T&C have been produced with this in mind, to enhance safety and improve everyone’s enjoyment.

You should leave adequate space (in which to park your car) to the next tent. Please keep your pitch neat and tidy, particularly when you leave. Avoid damage to the grass from heat (ie cooking utensils, BBQ’s – please ask for bricks to raise from the ground). Gazebos, windbreaks and pup tents must be paid for.

Ladies and Gent’s toilets have hot and cold running water, free showers, hand dryers, shaving points, a hairdryer in the ladies block (20p) required. Washing up area with hot/cold water. PLEASE LEAVE THE FACILITIES AS YOU WOULD WISH TO FIND THEM.

We try to keep the centres of the fields clear for play and campers are requested to be considerate of others around them. Parents must supervise children of all ages, at all times. Particularly, they should not be allowed to play in the washing/water areas. Fireworks or fire pits are not permitted on the site.

This is a quiet site – please do not disturb others by unnecessary noise from music, TV’s, loud games, shouting, slamming car doors, etc – particularly after 10pm or before 9am.

These are permitted if they do not cause a nuisance to your neighbours, are raised off the ground and burn only charcoal or gas. FIRE PITS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Please do not fly-tip.  We ask that you take home as much rubbish as possible, especially broken chairs, table, airbeds, etc, – rubbish is only collected fortnightly. Please recycle items in the relevant bin. Please flatten tins, boxes etc. where possible.

There are water points in the camping field and by the washing-up area. This water is metered, so please use responsibly

Pets are welcomed and must be kept on a lead at all times when on the site. They should be exercised off the site. Use of the surrounding fields is not permitted. Any fouling should be cleaned up immediately. There are fines of £1000 in South Lakeland for those failing to do so. All pubs in the village accept dogs so they must not be left alone on the site either in your tent or your car. We reserve the right to ask campers to remove their pets, if, in our opinion it creates a nuisance.

The charge for visitors is £3 per person and £5 per car. Please let us know if you are expecting anyone to visit, as they could be refused entry or asked to leave.

The owners will not be liable for any loss or damage to any person, vehicle, tent or its’ contents. There are many natural hazards in the park and surrounding area, so please ensure your own and your children’s safety at all times.

Anyone NOT complying with these rules will be asked to leave.
